Search rules

Use prefixes to tell the search what you want to match:

• Rules text: Add o: before each word. Each term must appear as a whole word somewhere in the card's rules text.
• o:trample o:haste finds cards whose rules text contains both trample and haste.
• Rules-text searches are not fuzzy. For example, o:draw does not match drawing.
• Colors: Use c: to search for a card's exact colors.
  • c:rg finds exactly red and green.
  • c:C finds colorless cards.
  • Color letters: W (white), U (blue), B (black), R (red), G (green).
• Mana production: Use produces: to find cards that can produce the listed mana. produces:g finds green producers; produces:gu requires both green and blue. produces:c finds colorless producers. This checks mana output, not the card's colors.
• Color identity: Use id: to search for an exact Commander color identity. id:wu finds exactly white-blue identity.
• Sets: Use e: to search set codes or words in set names. For example, e:war matches the war set code and set names containing war. Use the Sets dropdown to choose one exact set by name and code.
• Type: Use t: to search the card's type line. t:dragon finds cards with Dragon in their type line. Repeat t: terms to require all of them, or pick multiple types in the Type dropdown to match any of them.
• Rarity: Use r: to search rarity. r:rare finds rare cards; r:common r:uncommon matches either one. You can also pick multiple rarities in the Rarity dropdown to match any of them.
• Color comparisons: Use >= or <= when you want to include or restrict colors.
  • c>=rg requires both red and green.
  • id<=wu allows only white and/or blue identity.
• Numeric stats: Search power, toughness, or loyalty with pow:, tou:, or loy: and a comparison.
  • pow>=5 means power 5 or greater.
  • tou=4 means toughness exactly 4.
  • loy>=5 means loyalty 5 or greater.
  • Non-numeric values such as * are not matched by numeric searches.

Combining searches

You can combine filters and regular card-name words. Every condition must match.

dragon o:trample pow>=5 finds cards that:

• have dragon in their name
• have trample in their rules text
• have power 5 or greater

Use spaces to combine multiple search conditions.
